Program on Student Mentoring

The Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, successfully organized a Program on Student Mentoring for its academic staff with the aim of strengthening mentoring practices and enhancing support for students’ academic development and wellbeing. The session was inaugurated by Professor S. P. Molligoda, Dean of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo.

The session was conducted by Professor Nilanthi Senanayake, Senior Student Counsellor at the University of Colombo and Professor in Microbiology and Consultant Microbiologist at the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo.

The program was held on 30th April 2026 from 9.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. at the Mini Auditorium of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo. It was organized by the Indigenous Medical Education Unit in collaboration with the Permanent Student Counsellor and the Coordinators (Ayurveda/ Unani) for Academic and Student Mentoring, FIM, University of Colombo, with the objective of enhancing effective academic mentoring practices within the faculty.
