Annual Ramadan Festival Party – 2026

The Annual Ramadan Festival Party – 2026, organized by the Unani Medical Teachers’ Association of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine (UMTAFIM), University of Colombo, was successfully held on 21st April 2026 at 11.00 a.m. at the New Administration Building, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine.

The event was organized to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr and brought together academic staff, administrative staff, and non-academic staff members of the faculty in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo, Prof. Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The gathering was welcomed by Dr. M. S. M. Nasmeer, President of UMTAFIM. This was followed by addresses from Prof. S. P. Molligoda, Dean of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, and Dr. A. M. Muthalib, Head of the Department of Unani Clinical Medicine. The event concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. A. F. M. Joonus, Secretary of UMTAFIM.

Participants shared the spirit of Ramadan, exchanged greetings, and enjoyed the gathering, which promoted unity, harmony, and fellowship among members of the faculty community.
