Duty-assuming Ceremony of the Dean of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo.
Professor S.P. Molligoda assumed duties as the Dean of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, on the 02nd of April 2026. The formal ceremony was initiated with the blessings of the triple gems and the blessings of Lord Dhanvantari, the Vedic god of Ayurveda. The duty-assuming ceremony was graced by the eminent presence of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo, Professor I.M. Karunathilake. Former Dean of the Faculty Prof. P.K. Perera, former Acting Dean of the Faculty Prof. R.D.H. Kulathunga, current Heads of Departments, former Heads of Departments, Deputy Registrar, Deputy Bursar, and Senior Assistant Registrar of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine were some of the dignitaries present at the occasion. Thereafter, the newly elected Dean engaged in an active discussion with all members of the academic, administrative, and non-academic staff of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, Rajagiriya.
