The Dean’s List Award Ceremony – 2024

The Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, proudly hosted its first-ever Dean’s List Award Ceremony on 23rd January 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the vibrant auditorium of the West Wing Building. This historic occasion marked a new milestone in recognizing and celebrating academic excellence within the faculty.

Honoring Excellence
A total of 156 First Class holders from the BAMS and BUMS undergraduate degree programs were awarded certificates in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements. The ceremony was graced by faculty members, distinguished guests, and proud families, all gathered to celebrate the dedication and success of the students.

Ceremonial Highlights
• The event was formally declared open by Prof. Pathirage Kamal Perera, Dean of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, alongside esteemed academics and administrative members.
• The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Kaumadi Karunagoda, setting a tone of inspiration and pride.
• The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Himalee de Silva, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine.
