The Second Workshop on X Ray Imaging Technologies

The second workshop on X-Ray Imaging Technologies was successfully held on December 16, 2023, at the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo. This workshop was organized by Dr. (Mrs.) A.M. Muthalib, the Head of the Department of Unani Clinical Medicine with the guidance and support from Professor Pathirage Kamal Perera, the Dean of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo.

Mr. Thangaraja Amalaraj, BSc in Radiography (University of Peradeniya), MSc in Medical Physics, MPhil, PhD (Faculty of Nuclear Science, University of Colombo), served as the resource person for this workshop. His expertise and hands-on experience added a valuable dimension to the learning experience, providing participants with a well-rounded understanding of the subject matter. The practical exposure offered during the session likely enhanced the application of theoretical concepts, fostering a more comprehensive and impactful learning environment.

The primary objective of this workshop was to share and refresh knowledge, serving as Continuous Medical Education for healthcare professionals. Dr. (Mrs.) A.F.M. Joonus, Lecturer at the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, efficiently coordinated this workshop. The event was a collaborative effort, bringing together expertise from various domains, and it provided a valuable platform for healthcare professionals to enhance their understanding of X-ray imaging technologies.
