Celebrating Excellence in Creative Storytelling: FIM’s Victory at the Shirt Film Competition 2025

Faculty of Indigenous Medicine (FIM) proudly congratulates the winning FIM team on securing 1st place at the Interfaculty Short Film Competition 2025 under the theme “Unlock Your Future with Career Guidance”, organized by the Career Guidance Unit, University of Colombo.

The award-winning short film “Sihina”, created under the entrepreneurship theme, reflects exceptional creativity, dedication and storytelling excellence.

This achievement also highlights the continuous guidance and direction provided by the CGU–FIM in nurturing students’ talents and empowering them to explore their creative and professional potential. The Awarding Ceremony of the Short Film Competition, organized by the Career Guidance Unit (CGU), was held on 13th March 2026 at the Senate Hall, College House. The ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, the Director of the Career Guidance Unit, Professor D L P M Rathnasingha, along with staff members and student awardees representing their respective faculties.

This remarkable achievement brings great pride to the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, and the faculty wishes the team continued success in their future endeavors.
