11th International Conference on Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Traditional Medicine (iCAUST) - 2025

The “11^th International Conference on Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Traditional Medicine (iCAUST) – 2025” was successfully conducted by the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo from 15^th -16^th August 2025. The inaugural session was conducted at the Auditorium of Medical Faculty Tower, University of Colombo on 15^th August 2025 from 2.00 – 6.00 p.m. and inaugurated by Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, Vice Chancellor, University of Colombo, as the chief guest of the event and Professor Pathirage Kamal Perera, Dean of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine and Chief Organizer of iCAUST 2025, delivered a formal welcome speech. For this inauguration event esteemed keynote speakers from different countries, other respected delegates and all the academic staff of the FIM-UOC participated. The scientific sessions were successfully conducted on 16^th August from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. at the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo. The program comprised nine (09) parallel oral presentation sessions and two (02) poster presentation sessions conducted in a hybrid mode with the participation of 205 both local and foreign delegates. The total of 108 research abstracts were accepted for presentations after extensive peer review process which included 72 oral presentations and 36 poster presentations. All the sessions commenced with a keynote speeches address by distinguished local and foreign speakers. Parallel to the main conference undergraduate research forum was conducted from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. arranged in six (06) oral sessions and three (03) poster sessions, with 176 participants. The conference valedictory session was conducted from 4.30 to 6.00 p.m. at the West Wing building of the faculty premises. The event concluded with a formal networking dinner, which provided an excellent opportunity for participants to build professional relationships, exchange ideas informally and strengthen international collaboration.
