Poson Poya Commemoration: Ice Cream Dansala at the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine

In commemoration of the sacred Poson Poya Day, the Welfare Society of  Faculty of Indigenous Medicine organized a charitable Ice Cream Dansala in 16th June 2025. The event was held with the blessings and gracious presence of the Dean of the Faculty, symbolizing the spirit of giving and community service inspired by the Poson full moon, which marks the historic arrival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.

The dansala served as a humble offering to all who visited, fostering unity, compassion, and joy among the community members.Through such initiatives, the Faculty continues to uphold cultural values while nurturing a spirit of service and generosity rooted in our culture.
