International Yoga Day Celebration - 2025

The Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, celebrated International Yoga Day 2025 in collaboration with the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), High Commission of India, Colombo, on 19 June in the faculty premises. The SVCC organized this celebration at 116 venues around the country at the same time on this day, while FIM proudly hosted the main event. Prof. Pathirage Kamal Perera, dean of the FIM, Prof. Ankuran Dutta, director of SVCC, High Commission of India, Colombo, Dr. Dhammika Abegunawardena, Commissioner General in Ayurveda, graced this blissful event. Around 120 students from the FIM participated in a mesmerizing Yoga practical session conducted by a resource person from India. The organizers extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this event a great success.
