WORLD UNANI DAY CELEBRATION 2024
World Unani Day-2024 celebration was organized by Department of Unani Pharmacology and Department of Unani Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo in collaboration with Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Colombo on 27th of February 2024 under the theme of “Unani Medicine; Art of healing from nature and holistic view of one health”.
Dr. Satyanjal Pandey, the Deputy High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka as the guest of honour and Senior Professor (Chair) H D Karunaratne, Vice Chancellor, University of Colombo, as the chief guest graced this occasion.
The event was organized by Prof. Pathirage Kamal Perera, the Dean, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo and Prof. Ankuran Dutta, the Director, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Colombo and co-organized by Prof. MI Manuha, Head, Department of Unani Pharmacology and Dr. AM Muthalib, Head, Department of Unani Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo. This event was coordinated by Dr. AA. Rizwana and Dr. MCN Razana.
