  • Objectives of the Course

    1. To develop conceptual knowledge skills and attitudes with regard to applied aspects of Ayurveda / Unani systems of medicine in scholars
    2. To develop capabilities in understanding and using diagnostic technics in Ayurveda/Unani system of Medicine
    3. To develop knowledge skills and attitudes in Ayurveda/ Unani physcicians in order to provide a better patient care and management
    4. To provide essential knowledge with emphasis on the practical aspect of hospital administration and management

  • Eligibility

    • A Digree / Diploma in Ayurveda / Unani Medicine and Surgery recognized by the university
    • The registration as an Ayurveda/ Unani medical practitionar in the Ayurvedic Medical Council and
    • A minimum of one year of experience as a medical practionar of Ayurveda / Unani system of Medicine either in public or private sector

    The selection of the candidate to the course will be done on the basis of merit obtained at the entrance examination

  • Aptitude Test

    Consist of 60 Multiple Choice Questions

    – 45 questions (75 %) on the Bachelor’s degree level

    – 15 questions (25 % ) on general knowledge & general Intelligence

    Allocated time is 1 ½ hrs and merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates

  • Modules

    The programme will consist of 12 moduls

    • Module 01 – Applied aspect of Ayurveda / Unani fundamentals in Clincal practice
    • Module 02 – Applied aspect of Shareera Vignana in Clincal practice
    • Module 03 – Applied aspect of Dravya Guna Karma and Prayaga Vignana in Clincal practice
    • Module 04 – Applied aspect of Svasthavritta and primary health care in Clincal practice
    • Module 05 – Applied aspect of Nidana and Chikitsa in patient care and management in Clincal practice
    • Module 06 – Applied aspect of Deshiya Chikithsa in patient care and management in Clincal practice
    • Module 07 – Maternal and Child Health and management in Clincal practice
    • Module 08 – Genaral Surgical procedures and selected essential surgical management in Clincal practice
    • Module 09 – Applied Toxicology and essential Medico leagal procedures in Clincal practice
    • Module 10 – Principles of hospital Administration and Management
    • Module 11 – Basic Medical Statistics and Research Methodology
    • Module 12 – Information Technology
  • Examination Procedures

    The examination of the course consist of four components

    1. Component 01 – Continous Assessments (Lectures)
    2. Component 02 – Continous Assessments (Clinical & Practical)
    3. Component 03 – Project report
    4. Component 04 – Final Examination
  • General

    • There will be only 3 final examinations namely the Annual, supplementary and additional suplimantry for the programme
    • The registration of the candidate will be terminated after the additional suplimentary examination
    • 1st and 2nd components of the examination will be held under the responsibility of the Additional Director
    • Registrar / Examination the reasponsible in conducting the 3rd 4th and 5th components of the examination
    • The details of computation of the marks obtained in all 5 components will be processed by the Registrar / Examinations
