OBSERVING THE WORLD HEPATITIS DAY- 2024 under the theme of “Integrate Accelerate Eliminate’’
World Hepatitis Day, 28th July, is an opportunity to step up national and international efforts on hepatitis and encourage actions and engagement by individuals, partners and the public. It highlights the need for a greater global response as outlined in the WHO’s Global hepatitis report of 2017. The theme for 2024 is a call to action to: Integrate, Accelerate, and Eliminate Hepatitis.
Synchronizing with the same, the Career Guidance Unit, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo has celebrated the event collaboration with the Department of Ayurveda, Central Province as an interactive dialogue on the management of Hepatic disorders with the excellence of Ayurveda.
The program was conducted on 2nd August 2024, at the Departmental auditorium of the Central Provincial Ayurveda Department, Pallekele, Kundasale by coordinating Dr. U.R.S.R.K.Senarathne, Department of Ayurveda Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics and Community Medicine, Dr. M.S.F. Sapra, Department of Unani pharmacology under the guidance of the Dean of Faculty, Professor Pathirage Kamal Perera, Dr R.H.S.K. De Silva. Coordinator, Career Guidance Unite, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine and Dr. W.M.K.A. Wejesundara, Ayurveda Hospital, Pallekele with the guidance of Provincial Ayurveda Commissioner, Dr. Jayantha Herath, Department of Ayurveda and Dr. Rukman Jayasinghe, Director, Ayurveda Hospital, Pallekele.
