Inauguration of Certificate Course in Massage Therapy (CCMT) – 10th Intake and Certificate Course in Yoga Therapy (CCYT)– 5th Intake

The inaugural ceremony of the Certificate Course in Massage Therapy -10th Intake and the Certificate Course in Yoga Therapy -5th Intake 2025 was successfully held on 27th July 2025 at the mini auditorium of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo. This event was organized by the Department of Ayurveda Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics and Community Medicine. Special thank goes to Prof. Pathirage Kamal Perera, Dean of the Faculty, for his guidance, Prof. SKMK Herapathdeniya, Head of the Department, Dr. YSG Wimalasiri (Course coordinator -CCMT) and Dr. WKBDS Fernando (Course coordinator -CCYT). The objectives of the courses are to introduce Massage and Yoga to the public and their holistic approach to preventing and curing diseases. The dean of the faculty expressed his views on the importance of generalizing this kind of program to the public in this stressful world.
