Donations of medical equipment to the Professorial Units at the National Ayurveda Teaching Hospital- Borella
With the collaboration of the Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, Serve Now Sri Lanka, a partner organization of Sweden’s Salvation Army, donated medical equipment to the professorial units at National Ayurveda Teaching Hospital, Borella on February 2, 2023.
The symbolic ceremony of this volunteer service was graced by the honorable state minister of indigenous medicine of the socialistic republic of Sri Lanka, the Additional Director, the Ministry of Health, the Commissioner of the Department of Ayurveda, the Director of the Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, Director of the Serve Now Sri Lanka partner organization of global action Sri Lanka, Director, National Ayurveda Teaching Hospital, Heads of Department of Study in Ayurveda and Unani Medicine, professors and academic members of IIM, consultants and medical officers of National Ayurveda Teaching Hospital,
Borella.
The Kayachikitsa professorial unit, which were fully furnished with adjustable patient beds and supportive medical care equipment, and the physical therapy unit were unveiled to the Sri Lankan public on this day in order to provide an environment for teaching and learning for students in Ayurveda and Unani medicine at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
