Department of Shalya Shalakya
The Division of Shalya Shalakya was established in 1979 to provide teaching, training as well as specialized services to medical students, medical professionals and patients in the area of Shalya Shalakya. It includes Anorectal diseases, Genitor-urinary diseases, diseases related to eye, ear, nose, oral cavity and head, fractures and dislocations, wounds and ulcers and other traumatic conditions and studies related to the Marma (vital points) and anesthesia.
The sections of Shalya and Shalakya deal with undergraduates, 4th and 5th BAMS students and post- graduate teaching thus contributing to award of MPhil Degree and postgraduate Diploma to the postgraduate students in the field of Ayurveda.
