
Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the 1st Intake and the Inauguration – Ceremony of the 2nd Intake
The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the 1st Intake and the Inauguration Ceremony of the 2nd Intake was successfully held on 09th August 2025 at the Main Board Room of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Ms. Miyuki Eguchi, Head of Cultural and General Affairs of the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka, and the Guest of Honour, Mr. Hiroki Oi, Resident Representative of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Sri Lanka. Their participation highlighted the strong academic and cultural collaboration between Sri Lanka and Japan.
The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Pathirage Kamal Perera, Dean of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine. Dr. M. W. S. J. Kumari, Coordinator of the Postgraduate and Mid-Career Development Unit, Dr. J.M. Dahanayake, Course Coordinator and Ms. S. karunarathne, Resource person of the course played a key role in organizing the event and addressing the gathering. Certificates were awarded to participants of the 1st intake in recognition of their successful completion of the program, followed by the formal inauguration of the 2nd intake. The ceremony concluded on a positive note, marking an important milestone in the continued development of postgraduate and mid-career education at the faculty.
