Celebration of World Children’s Day – 2023
A productive and colorful program for celebrating of World Children’s Day – 2023 was held at the Professorial Unit – Kaumarabhritya, (Pediatric ward- No. 01) of National Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital, Rajagiriya on 1st and 2nd of October 2023 from 8.00 am to 12.30 pm for the OPD & IPD child patients. It was organized by the Department of Shalya Shalakya and Prasuti Tantra Kaumarabhritya, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine with the guidance and support of the Dean and the head of the Department, together with Doctors, Staff, and intern medical officers of Bala Roga Ward (01) of National Ayurveda Teaching Hospital with the active participation of BAMS & BUMS Level V & final Professional students of FIM.
Many Mindfulness and Stress Relieving events such as Yoga program, preparation of traditional toys, Talent show of IPD and OPD patients, Performance of some activities (short drama, songs, dances and health awareness) have been conducted for the child patients, mothers of the patients by the undergraduates of the faculty. Further a lunch and valuable gifts were offered for them by well-wishers.
