Basic Chinese Language course + Medical Skill Application Course
The basic Chinese language for medical skill application course was offered to undergraduates of the BAMS and BUMS 2017/2018 & 2019/2020, Faculty of Indigenous medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka by the Faculty of Humanities, Honghe University, Yunnan, China. This is the very first course offered to the faculty of indigenous medicine on Chinese language. This tailor-made 10 day course is aimed to expand global opportunities for the faculty undergraduates with knowledge on basic Chinese language and skills on Acupuncture and medical application. Instructors of this training course are teacher Luo Caiwen, Zhang Ting, Kong Xiang, Mo Guiyun, Liu Haijing, Liu Yuxin, and Dai Herui. Course was offered free of charge for undergraduates and, is sponsored by the Center for Language education and cooperation, Beijing, China.
Course inauguration was on 15th January 2025 with the participation of Dean of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine University of Colombo, Sri Lanka: Professor Kamal Perera, Dean of the School of Humanities, HongHe university: Professor Bu Xiaoji, President of the International Students’ Association of the University of Colombo, Teacher Wang Li and professor Luo Caiwen. 96 students successfully completed and awarded by the certificate at the closing ceremony held on 24th January 2025. Course was coordinated by Professor Kaumadi Karunagoda the Faculty representative of The International office , Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo.
