Jinan University, China Delegation Visits the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine

A delegation from Jinan University visited the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine in 11th December 2025 under the direction of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. During the visit, discussions were held on several key areas, including capacity building and joint training programs in traditional medicine, herbal drug standardization and sustainable utilization of herbal resources, product development, and knowledge transfer related to herbal formulations.

Professors and faculty members of the Jinan university, China, Professor Pathirage Kamal Perera, Dean Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, Head of the departments, faculty members participated in the discussion.

This collaboration is expected to significantly contribute to the future development of the faculty’s research and innovation initiatives, while also strengthening human capacity development within the faculty.
